Job summary

BD Electrical Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our engineering team in Puncak Alam, Selangor. This full-time role oversees electrical projects from conception to completion, ensuring quality, safety and efficiency while coordinating with clients, suppliers and internal teams.

• Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• 2–3 years of experience in project engineering or site-based engineering roles within electrical/construction industries.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution and industrial installations.
• Proficiency with CAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Dialux advantageous.
• Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee electrical engineering projects from initiation through completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines for on-time delivery.
• Conduct site inspections to assess requirements and challenges.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Manage resources including equipment, materials, and personnel.
• Monitor progress and report status to stakeholders and senior management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on sites.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Identify and resolve project issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support estimation and tender processes for new projects.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Project Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team at BD Electrical Sdn Bhd in Puncak Alam, Selangor. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing project delivery from conception through to completion, ensuring that all work meets our high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee the execution of electrical engineering projects from initiation through completion
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess project requirements and identify potential challenges
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation in compliance with industry standards
• Manage project resources including equipment, materials, and personnel allocation
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports for stakeholders and senior management
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations on project sites
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate seamless project communication
• Identify and resolve project-related issues and implement corrective actions when necessary
• Support the estimation and tender process for new projects

What we're looking for

• Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline from a recognised institution
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in project engineering or site-based engineering roles within the electrical or construction industry
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and industrial installations
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, including CAD and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of Dialux software will be an advantage
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
