Job summary

NJRP(M) Sdn Bhd in Puncak Alam, Selangor, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team. You will plan, coordinate, and monitor project activities to ensure successful project phases, working with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

The role requires at least 1 year of project engineering experience in mechanical, civil, or electrical sectors; Diploma or Degree in Engineering; Chinese language proficiency for stakeholder liaison; and occasional travel may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical).
• At least 1 year of project engineer experience in mechanical, civil or electrical sectors.
• Chinese language proficiency for stakeholder liaison.
• Willingness to travel to outstations as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate project schedules.
• Prepare detailed project schedules and reports.
• Check subcontractor work for quality and quantity.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors to resolve issues.
• Assist in procurement activities.
• Perform inspections and testing to meet standards.
• Report to Project Manager and support project execution.

What you'll be doing?

• Plan and Coordinate: Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Prepare Documentation: Create detailed project schedules, progress reports, and other necessary documentation.
• Check Subcontractor Work: Verify the quantity and quality of work completed by subcontractors.
• Liaise with Stakeholders: Communicate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to address technical and operational issues.
• Support Procurement: Assist in procurement, material planning, and resource allocation to support project needs.
• Perform Inspections: Conduct inspections and testing as required to maintain project standards.
• Report to Project Manager: Assist the Project Manager in the overall execution and success of the project.

Who are they looking for?

• Experience: Minimum 1 year project engineer experience within Mechanical industry, Civil and Electrical industries can be considered.
• Education: Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical).
• Language Proficiency: Ability to communicate in Chinese is required for liaising with stakeholders.
• Willingness to Travel: Willingness to travel outstation sometimes to support project needs.
