Job summary

Green Design Engineering Sdn Bhd is hiring an Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical systems for building and infrastructure projects in Petaling Jaya. You will prepare calculations, drawings and specifications, and coordinate with M&E teams to integrate electrical designs on-site.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, strong knowledge of power distribution, load calculations and CAD/BIM experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and building services applications.
• Proficiency in electrical design including single-line diagrams, load schedules and layout drawings.
• Experience with power distribution systems (LV distribution, switchboards, protection coordination).
• Understanding of power systems fault level, power quality, and system reliability.
• Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and local authority requirements.
• Ability to use CAD or similar design tools; BIM exposure is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills with attention to safety.

Job description

This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer role based in Petaling Jaya. The Electrical Engineer will design and develop electrical systems for building and infrastructure projects, including preparing calculations, drawings, and technical specifications. Daily tasks include reviewing client requirements, performing load calculations, designing power distribution layouts, and coordinating with mechanical and civil teams to integrate electrical designs.

About you
