The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, BEM Graduate Engineer registration, and 4–10 years in M&E consulting.

Strong English and Bahasa Malaysia are essential, with REVIT/AutoCAD proficiency a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; registered as Graduate Engineer with BEM.
• 4–10 years of experience as an Electrical engineer in M&E consulting.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical design efforts for projects.
• Oversee power distribution and power systems design and management.
• Prepare detailed designs and technical specifications; produce working drawings.
• Conduct site inspections and attend design, client, architect and site meetings.
• Ensure compliance with Design Criteria, standards and ISO procedures.
• Provide input to improve work efficiency and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Job description

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing electrical engineering designs, overseeing power distribution and power systems projects, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Key responsibilities include preparing detailed designs and technical specifications, conducting site inspections, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur office located in Jalan Imbi.

Assist the Team Leader and Job Captain in performing duties

Carry out sketch analysis, design and calculations for electrical works

Produce detailed design and working drawings for electrical works

Ensure quality and accuracy of designs

Ensure compliance with project Design Criteria/ Client Brief/ Approved Concept

Ensure compliance with relevant design standards and office standards

Attend design, clients, architects and site meetings

Ensure compliance with program constraints and budget

Ensure compliance with ISO Quality Procedure Manual

Offer suggestions to improve work efficiency

Perform other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required by Team Leader/ Division Manager

Proficiency in electrical design and core principles of electrical engineering

Strong understanding of electricity and its applications in construction projects

Experience in Power Distribution and Power Systems design and management

At least a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical) or equivalent AND registered with BEM as Graduate Engineer

4-10 years of experience as Electrical engineer in the M&E consulting line

Excellent communication skills and a good team player

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Competence in REVIT, AUTOCAD or other related software will be an added advantage
