Job summary

SKA TECHNOLOGY SDN BHD is seeking a Project Engineer to plan, coordinate and monitor project activities from start to finish. You will liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring progress aligns with drawings, specs and schedules. Role requires 2–3 years in project engineering (M&E/building services preferred).

Fresh graduates are welcome. Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD/BIM or PM software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical/Mechanical / M&E or related engineering field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in project engineering, preferably in M&E/building services.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are welcome to apply.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM or project management software is a plus.

Job description

Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities from commencement to completion.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams on project requirements and progress.

Monitor site activities to ensure work complies with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules.

Prepare and review technical documents, method statements, material submissions, progress reports, and project records.

Coordinate material procurement, delivery schedules, and site requirements.

Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and assist in resolving technical and site issues.

Attend site meetings, inspections, testing, commissioning, and project coordination meetings.

Ensure compliance with quality standards, health and safety requirements, and company procedures.

Assist in preparing project schedules, progress claims, variation orders, and project handover documentation.

Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, M&E, or a related engineering discipline.

2-3 Relevant experience in project engineering, preferably in M&E, electrical, ELV, building services, or system integration projects.

Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications and a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documents.

Good project coordination, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM, or project management software is an advantage.

Willing to travel to project sites and work according to project requirements.

Able to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge in handling Data Center Project is added advantage.
