Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a site-focused engineer to support planning and execution of M&E works at project sites in Malaysia. You will ensure compliance with approved plans, specs, safety requirements and standards while coordinating with clients, consultants and internal teams.

The role covers reviewing drawings and technical documents, preparing progress reports and guiding junior personnel. A Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering (or PW1/ PW2/ PW4/A0/A1/A4) and 1–2

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or PW1/PW2/PW4/A0/A1/A4 certificate.
• At least 1-2 years of relevant site-based engineering experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and project documents.
• Willingness to travel or work at project sites.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin is a plus.
• Familiar with MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD.

Monitor site progress, schedules, quality, resources and daily activities to support timely project delivery. Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal teams throughout planning, bidding, testing, handover and completion.

Key responsibilities

Support the planning and execution of M&E, electrical and mechanical works at project sites, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, safety requirements and applicable standards

Monitor site progress, schedules, quality, resources and daily activities to support timely project delivery

Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal teams throughout planning, bidding, testing, handover and completion

Review drawings, specifications, method statements and technical documents; identify site issues and support practical, timely solutions

Prepare progress reports and site documentation and work with site teams

Guide junior personnel and perform other duties assigned by superiors

About you

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Professional certificate PW1/PW2/PW4/A0/A1/A4 Certificate or other equivalent qualification

At least 1-2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field

Fully familiar with the project scope of work, specifications, schedule, and all inter-discipline requirements, including identifying concerns as early as practicable and taking appropriate initiatives to address the issues

Interest in site-based engineering and project coordination, with the ability to read engineering drawings and project documents or willingness to learn

Good problem-solving, communication and organizational skills; positive, self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team, and willing to travel or work at project sites

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin is an added advantage

Familiar with MS Office, MS Project and AutoCAD software
