SInar TM Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Coordinator (Electrical Engineering) to support planning, scheduling, and documentation for industrial projects across Malaysia. You will coordinate with engineers, vendors, and clients while tracking risks, budgets, and progress.

The role involves site visits, quality control, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. Strong communication and organizational skills, plus basic project management tools proficiency, are essential.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field).
• Completed coursework related to project management, engineering processes or construction.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Basic knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).
• Familiarity with engineering processes, drawings, and specifications is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle unexpected challenges.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning Support - Assist with the creation of project schedules, timelines, and resource plans.

Project Coordinator (Electrical Engineering)

Project Planning Support - Assist with the creation of project schedules, timelines, and resource plans.

Documentation and Reporting - Maintain and organize project documentation, such as blueprints, drawings, contracts and reports as well as prepare progress reports, status updates and other necessary documentation for project team.

Communication and Coordination - Act as a liaison between project teams, engineers, vendors and clients to ensure smooth communication.

Risk Management and Issue Tracking - Support the team in identifying potential risks and issues related to project timelines, budgets or quality as well as assist in tracking issues and helping the team resolve them in a timely manner.

Budget and Resource Management - Assist with tracking project costs, budgets and resources to ensure the project stays within scope.

Site Visits and Fieldwork (if applicable) - Participate in site visits to monitor project progress, take measurements and report findings to senior engineers.

Quality Control and Compliance - Ensure that projects meet engineering standards, industry regulations and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

Current enrollment in a Diploma’s or Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field).

Must have completed coursework related to project management, engineering processes or construction (depending on the field).

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Basic knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).

Familiarity with engineering processes, drawings, and specifications is a plus.
