Job summary

Jobstreet Malaysia is seeking an on-site Architect to support the Site Project Manager in Kuala Kedah. The role involves monitoring construction work, coordinating activities, and ensuring progress aligns with specifications and safety standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Degree in Architecture, have 3–5 years in related fields, and are proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Travel and full-time on-site work are expected at the JETI Kuala Kedah location.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in monitoring and coordinating construction work at sites.
• Manage work progress from start to handover.
• Monitor safety regulations and site records daily.
• Coordinate resources, materials, and subcontractors on site.
• Prepare site diary, measurements, job sheets and progress reports.

Job description

• Assisting Project Manager in monitoring and coordinating construction work at sites
• Responsible for work progress from beginning until handover project
• Daily monitoring and coordinating construction work at site
• Ensure all work done in accordance to the specification in good workmanship practice and without any delay on progress
• Controlling of resources such materials and ensure all material and machinery delivered to site confirm to the purchase order
• To control and manage sub-contractors at site
• To ensure all workers comply with safety regulations on site
• Prepare and submit proper record of site diary, site measurement, job-sheet and project progress report
• Daily supervision and monitoring of workers, sub-con, machinery, materials at site
• To prepare and maintain up-to-date record on all materials at site
• Any other duties that may assigned by HOD from time to time

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Architect or any relevant.
• Minimum 3-5 years in related field is required
• Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia;
• Computer literate and competent in MS Office application; possess knowledge in Microsoft Project/Primavera 6 will be an added advantage;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Strong problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution skills;
• Willing to travel and work full time on site.
• Possess communication skills to interact with people all levels.
• Work location will be in JETI KUALA KEDAH.
