Job summary

Minami Electronics Malaysia is seeking a Program/Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, and drive new product introductions and engineering programs in a manufacturing setting in Penang.

You will monitor milestones, coordinate engineering, production, quality, procurement, and logistics teams, and report progress to management while liaising with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing NPI and engineering programs.
• Monitor milestones, schedules, and deliverables for on‑time execution.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement, Logistics) to meet objectives.
• Track and report program progress, risks, and issues to management.
• Act as liaison between customer, internal engineering, and manufacturing teams.
• Support customer requirements, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Participate in program reviews, technical meetings, and provide status updates.
• Review product drawings, specifications, and BOM.
• Support design validation, prototyping, and testing activities.
• Assist in ECR/ECO change management and ensure proper documentation.
• Provide engineering input to ensure manufacturability, quality, and cost effectiveness.

Support customer requirements, specifications, and technical documentation.

Participate in program reviews, technical meetings, and provide status updates.

Review product drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM).

Support design validation, prototyping, and testing activities.

Assist in change management (ECR/ECO) and ensure proper documentation.

Provide engineering input to ensure manufacturability, quality, and cost effectiveness.

Qualification and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field).

At least 2-4 years of working experience in program/project engineering, manufacturing or electronics industry experience is an advantage; fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.

Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) or program coordination would be an added advantage.

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of project/program management methodologies.

Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects.

Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency will be added advantages.
