LINKTEL TECHNOLOGIES SDN.BHD. invites an experienced Production Manager Assistant to support daily operations in Batu Kawan, Penang. You will execute production plans, allocate manpower and resources, monitor 5S/ESD/safety, and enforce discipline to meet daily targets.
You will drive continuous improvements in productivity and quality, develop the production team, and coordinate cross‑functional actions to boost efficiency and reduce costs in a fast‑paced electronics environment.
Assist the Production Manager in overseeing daily production operations. The role is responsible for executing production plans, allocating manpower and resources effectively, monitoring 5S, ESD, safety and process discipline on the production floor, ensuring daily production targets are achieved, and driving continuous improvements in productivity and product quality.
1. Production Management
Organize and coordinate production lines to achieve daily production targets according to the production plan.
Monitor production output, achievement rates and production progress.
Plan and allocate manpower and production resources according to operational requirements.
Coordinate and **escalate** production abnormalities or delays in a timely manner.
Support new production line setup, including auxiliary material calculation, procurement and setup activities.
2. On-Site Management
Oversee daily production floor operations and activities.
Ensure employees follow SOPs, process requirements, work instructions and production discipline.
Monitor compliance with 5S, ESD, safety requirements and workplace standards.
Identify and resolve production floor issues and abnormalities in a timely manner.
3. Production Efficiency Management
Monitor production efficiency, UPH, manpower utilization and other key production indicators.
Analyze capacity shortages and causes of productivity or efficiency declines.
Drive line balancing, manpower adjustments and process improvements.
Continuously improve production efficiency, productivity and capacity.
4. Quality Improvement
Analyze recurring quality and production issues, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures at the system and process levels.
Lead cross-functional teams to implement improvement actions and follow up on results.
Ensure unresolved issues are continuously monitored and improved until effective solutions are achieved.
5. Team Development
Develop fast and effective training mechanisms for positions with longer training periods to shorten the learning curve.
Conduct exit interviews to understand the root causes of employee turnover and compile and analyze turnover trends.
Identify and develop internal employees to establish a production management talent pipeline.
6. Cost Control
Calculate labor costs based on standard working hours.
Analyze and improve standard costs based on labor costs.
Understand the composition of indirect labor costs and identify opportunities for cost improvement.
7. Other Responsibilities
Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor or management.
Bachelor’s Degree or above is preferred, preferably in Electronics, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
4–8 years or more of production management experience, preferably in manufacturing, semiconductor or electronics industry.
Strong team management and leadership skills, with proven experience managing production teams and manpower.
Experienced in manpower planning, work allocation, performance management and team development.
Able to lead, motivate, coach and develop team members to achieve production targets.
Good knowledge of production planning, line balancing, UPH and productivity management.
Familiar with SOP, 5S, ESD, safety and production discipline.
Strong problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Able to work in a fast-paced and high-demand environment.
Mandarin-speaking ability is an added advantage to facilitate effective communication and coordination with stakeholders from China.
