Job summary

LINKTEL TECHNOLOGIES SDN.BHD. seeks a seasoned facilities engineer to lead electrical system operations and maintenance across a manufacturing/industrial setting in Penang.

You will manage distribution networks, switchgear, and control panels while driving preventive/corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance reliability. The role also covers budgeting, safety, and energy efficiency initiatives, with oversight of HVAC, plumbing, BMS, and fire protection systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Facility Management or related field (Master’s a plus).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in plant facilities, including experience as an A4/BO Chargeman.
• 5+ years of facility engineering/maintenance management experience, with 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Familiar with electrical regulations and installation.

Electrical System Operations & Maintenance

Manage electrical distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, and control panels.

Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.

Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure timely resolution.

Monitor electrical system performance and recommend upgrades for efficiency.

Oversee maintenance, inspection and repair of key facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BMS, fire protection).

Administration & Budget Management

Prepare annual budgets for electrical maintenance, upgrades, and energy efficiency projects.

Track expenditures and ensure cost-effective resource allocation.

Generate financial and operational reports for management review.

Support procurement processes for electrical equipment and services.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to reduce downtime and operational costs.

Manage facility improvement projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and quality standards.

Safety & Environmental Stewardship

Enforce electrical safety protocols and conduct risk assessments.

Promote energy-saving initiatives and sustainability programs.

Conduct safety training and awareness sessions for staff.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, building codes and company policies; conduct safety audits.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve facility-related issues.

Requirements & Qualifications
