Job summary

Samwa Precision Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Supervisor for Plastic and Silicone Rubber to oversee manufacturing processes and ensure SOP compliance. You will supervise teams, manage records, and optimize machine and operator use while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 4–5 years in finishing/manufacturing, experience with plastic and silicone molding processes, and knowledge of ISO standards; Mandarin communication is required to work with a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–5 years of working experience in finishing/manufacturing
• Experience in Plastic Injection Moulding, Compression Moulding, Liquid Injection Moulding, and Secondary Decoration processes
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485 and IATF 16949 is an advantage
• Knowledge of 5S, Workplace Safety and Health is an advantage
• Knowledge of FMEA, SPC and related process improvement tools
• Experience with problem-solving methods like 6 Sigma, Kaizen, 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why
• Proficient documentation and reporting; good teamwork and communication
• Able to communicate with Mandarin-speaking employees

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing production processes and outputs in line with SOP
• Collect data and update records to ensure quality, safety and environmental compliance
• Ensure Work Instructions and inspection standards are displayed at machines
• Assist in stock counts and audits to maintain accurate inventory data
• Ensure production team follows documented procedures and instructions
• Supervise and review production yield and related output reports
• Update production process data into ERP system accurately
• Supervise attendance, overtime, and shift scheduling
• Schedule manpower and materials according to production plan
• Ensure optimal machine and operator utilization

Production Supervisor (Plastic / Silicone Rubber)

This role involves managing production processes and ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), production quality, safety, and environmental standards. You will oversee production operations, maintain accurate records, supervise production teams, and ensure optimal utilization of machines and operators.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing production processes and related outputs in compliance with SOP
• Collect data and update relevant records to ensure production quality, safety and environment standards are complied with
• Ensure availability of Work Instruction (W.I.) and related inspection standards are displayed with the machine
• Involve in stock-count and audit to ensure inventory data are recorded accurately
• Ensure production team follows all documented procedures and instructions
• Supervise and review production yield and related output reports
• Ensure production process data is updated accurately into ERP system
• Supervise attendance of employees, overtime arrangement and working shift scheduling
• Schedule manpower and production material according to the production plan
• Ensure optimal machine and operator utilization

About you

• SPM/SPMV and above, with at least 4–5 years of working experience in the finishing/manufacturing industry
• Experience in operating or supervising processes involving Plastic Injection Moulding, Compression Moulding, Liquid Injection Moulding, and Secondary Decoration processes
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485 and IATF 16949 will be an added advantage
• Knowledge and experience in 5S implementation, Workplace Safety and Health will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of process improvement tools such as FMEA, SPC and other related methodologies
• Knowledge of structured problem-solving techniques such as 6 Sigma, Kaizen, 8D, Ishikawa Diagram and 5 Why Analysis
• Computer literate with good documentation and reporting skills
• Good teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and take responsibility
• Able to communicate with Mandarin-speaking employees.
