Job summary

V.S. INDUSTRY BERHAD is seeking a Production Supervisor in Malaysia to lead a skilled operator team, oversee WIP flow and ensure quality targets are met. The role emphasizes safe, efficient operation and continuous improvement within a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include coordinating shifts, coaching staff, and liaising with management on daily production issues while promoting learning and process standardization.

Qualifications

• SPM/diploma or equivalent professional experience.
• 10 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in metal stamping, fabrication or fastener manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ISO document control (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22301, ISO 45001, ISO 27001).
• Experience with standard shop tools and measuring instruments.

• Plan daily shift objectives as part of productivity and continuous improvement.
• Communicate handing/taking over duties between shifts.
• Liaise with Management, Planning, Engineering and Technical team on daily production issues.

• Create and maintain a harmonious and safe working environment with teamwork and ownership.
• Share Best Known Methods to simplify procedures and process flows.

• Manages the WIP across Frontend, Backend and operations to ensure smooth material flow.
• Plan daily shift objectives and goals as part of productivity and continuous improvement.
• Communicating and liaise with Management, Planning, Engineering, Techinical team on daily production issues.
• Nurture operators' career development through coaching and on-the-job training.
• Create and maintain a harmonious and safe working environment that instills teamwork, commitment and ownership in the team.
• Work to create a culture of learning and sharing of Best Known Methods to simplify procedures and process flows.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment required (Metal stamping, fabrication, or fastener manufacturing preferred).
• Previous experience with standard shop tools and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges,etc) required.
• Mechanical aptitude and previous experience troubleshooting machinery required.
• Ability to use material handling equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
