Job summary

KLK Alami Edible Oils Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Plant Operations Supervisor to ensure smooth production and quality targets are met across the plant.

The role covers monitoring product sampling and QA-driven adjustments, maintaining logs, enforcing work permit and quality systems, identifying potential product failures or safety concerns, and training technicians to boost skills and reduce incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/technician level education in related field.
• 3+ years in plant operations as supervisor or similar role.
• Ability to read PID drawings and assess process hazards.
• Ability to adjust and operate jerrycan blowing machines.
• Troubleshooting jerrycan quality issues is advantageous.
• Knowledge of ISO, GMP, and HACCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth operation of the plant to meet production targets and maintain product quality.
• Monitor product sampling and perform adjustments as per QA guidance.
• Record and report all production log sheets accurately and on time.
• Ensure work permit, work request and quality systems are strictly followed.
• Identify potential product failures or safety near-misses and implement corrective actions.
• Train new and existing technicians to enhance skills and reduce lost time incidents.
• Carry out other duties as instructed by superiors.
• Comply with company quality standards and product specifications for local and international clients.
• Experience with jerry can blowing plant operations is an added advantage.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by superiors.

Job Success Requirements

• Possess a technical degree, diploma, or certificate in the related field.


• At least 3 years’ experience in plant operations as supervisor or equivalent, preferably working in a similar industry.


• Able to read PID drawings and Process & Hazard of the plant is an added advantage.


• Able to do adjustment and operate the jerrycan blowing machines.


• Troubleshooting skills in jerrycan quality issues and complaints are an added advantage.


• Candidate with knowledge in ISO, GMP, and HACCP is preferred.


• Good leadership skills.


• Able to perform with minimum supervision.
