Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Production Supervisor to manage day-to-day production activities, drive efficiency, and lead a multi-disciplinary team in a high-volume environment.

Role requires engineering background with supervisory experience, strong leadership, and ability to collaborate across departments to meet targets and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Professional certificates / Diploma / Degree in Engineering studies.
• HVAC/engineering working environment experience preferred (min 5 years).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Supervisor level.
• Good communication, interpersonal, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Safety and Health regulations and practices.
• Multilingual: Bahasa, Mandarin and English.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Manage production resources for high efficiency and coordination to achieve target output.
• Standardize work and set target cycle times for each product/process.
• Control and improve processes to increase pass rate and reduce defects.
• Monitor inventory levels and accuracy; lead improvement efforts.
• Oversee daily production activities including planning, receiving, manpower, sequencing, and delivery.
• Identify and reduce wastage; monitor operation costs.
• Develop a team of engineers, supervisors, technicians, lead operators, planners, drafters and clerks.
• Review and report production, process and inventory performance against targets.
• Liaise with departments on production/process performance and inter-department collaboration.
• Uphold company regulations and ensure subordinates compliance.
• Ensure 5S practices on the work area.
• Review schedules, specifications, and processes on the floor.
• Lead research to locate profitable manufacturing sites and opportunities.
• Provide guidance on continuous improvement and value stream deployment.
• Prepare daily reports and ad-hoc assignments as needed.

• Manage production resources for high efficiency and good coordination in achieving target output


• Manage efforts to standardize work and set target cycle time for every product and process


• Manage process control and improvement efforts to increase straight pass and reduce defects


• Lead in efforts to control and improve inventory levels and accuracy


• Oversee day to day production activities including production planning, part receiving, manpower planning, lot sequencing, process monitoring, and delivery


• Monitor operation costs and lead in efforts to reduce wastage in production


• Develop team of engineers, supervisors, technicians, lead operators, planner, drafter, and clerk to work effectively in respective production and process functions


• Review and report performance of production, process and inventory functions in achieving targets


• Liaise with relevant personnel from various departments for matters related to production and process performance, as well as any inter‑department effort


• Uphold company and department regulations and ensure compliance by all subordinates


• Ensure good 5S practice in work area


• Review production schedule, engineering specifications, and process flow, and other information to understand methods applied and activities taking place in production floor


• Lead research to determine the most profitable places to locate manufacturing or processing facilities


• Conduct analysis on current workflow or operations and provide crucial recommendation to enhance production yield and minimize operation cost


• Provide guidance on continuous improvement process development and value stream transformation deployment to the operation


• Day today reporting and preparation of reports


• Ad‑hoc assignment from Superior from time to time

Requiredments

• Candidate must possess at least Professional certificates / Diploma / Advanced / Higher / Degree in Engineering studies


• Preferable with HVAC / engineering working environment of minimum 5 years


• Minimum 3 years of experience as Supervisor level (essential)


• Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills, team work, leadership, and problem‑solving skills


• Well understanding of Safety and Health regulations and practices


• Ability to work under pressure, multi‑tasking effectively and manage priorities in fast paced environment


• Multi‑lingual skills in speaking or writing in Bahasa, Mandarin, and English to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
