Job summary

Teleplan Technology Services is seeking a Production & Operations supervisor in Malaysia to oversee daily production activities, monitor schedules, and ensure SOP compliance. The role involves coordinating manpower, equipment, and materials to meet output, quality, and delivery targets across multiple departments.

You will collaborate with QA for defects, support CAPA, train staff, and drive safety, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives while preparing daily KPI reports and handovers.

Qualifications

• Direct supervision of production operators and technicians.
• Ability to read SOPs and work instructions.
• Experience in coordinating with multiple internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
• Monitor production schedules and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials efficiently.
• Ensure production processes comply with SOPs, work instructions, and manufacturing standards.
• Identify and resolve production issues, process deviations and manpower shortages.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer-specific requirements.
• Support CAPA related to quality, process, or audit findings.
• Collaborate with QA to address defects, rework, and yield improvement.
• Supervise, train, and motivate production operators and technicians.
• Conduct daily briefings, skill training, and on-the-job coaching.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, performance, and effectiveness of shop-floor staff.
• Support performance evaluations and development plans.
• Enforce safety regulations, EHS policies, and 5S practices.
• Promote a safe working environment and proper PPE usage.
• Drive productivity improvement initiatives.
• Analyze production data, yield, downtime, and efficiency trends.
• Participate in process improvement, cost reduction, and automation initiatives.
• Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams.
• Prepare daily production reports, shift handovers, and KPI updates.
• Escalate critical issues to management in a timely manner.
