Takashima Woodwork in Malaysia seeks a capable Production Supervisor with at least 3 years in wood manufacturing to coordinate and lead Assistant Supervisors and Line Leaders to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.
You will manage labor and material allocation, monitor daily output, enforce safety, and drive continuous improvement through new methods and proper training in our Quality Management System.

Coordinate and manage the activities of Assistant Supervisors and Line Leaders in their day-to-day operations, aiming to achieve quality, output, cost, and delivery requirements.
Manage the allocation and distribution of labor and materials for production.
Ensure accountability for producing optimum quality products.
Monitor and analyze section production operations regularly to ensure daily output meets cost-efficient manufacturing methods.
Follow Production Order Chits and regulate workflow to ensure maximum resource utilization.
Provide feedback to the Production Executive regarding overtime requirements to meet orders.
Continually examine the application of new methods and processes to improve the production of quality products.
Update daily output reports, production order chits, and the output monitoring board (Whiteboard).
Work towards reducing rejects and scrap wherever possible; ensure proper allocation of rejected and scrap materials to non-conformance areas and dispose of them as per Scrap Procedure.
Ensure corrective actions are carried out effectively and promptly.
Ensure all new and existing workers are trained according to the Training Procedure.
Ensure compliance with all documented procedures outlined in the company's Quality Management System and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Ensure all machines and equipment are maintained according to the maintenance schedule and repaired promptly.
Monitor issued raw materials and work-in-progress to ensure stock accuracy.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment on the shop floor.
Act as a liaison for management in maintaining good industrial relations.
Perform any other tasks delegated by the Production Manager and management as required.
Job Specification:
Diploma/Certificate in Technical/Manufacturing or SPM level.
At least 3 years of experience in a wood manufacturing environment.
Excellent human relations and supervisory skills.
