You will oversee production planning, material management and control processes to ensure smooth, cost-effective manufacturing operations and lead a team toward continuous improvement. Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in production control and planning with leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, material handling and shipping/receiving.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production plans, material planning, inventory control, work-in-process tracking, capacity planning and variance control.
• Manage production scheduling to ensure timely delivery while minimizing inventory.
• Observe department performance, provide guidance and step in when necessary.
• Lead, train and support team members to enhance performance and growth.
• Identify improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, productivity and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and maintain CI.
• Monitor and report on KPIs to support informed decision-making.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Dufu Industries Sdn. Bhd., a leading manufacturing company in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is seeking an experienced Production Planning & Control professional to join our team.

In this full-time strategic role, you will oversee production planning, material management and control processes to ensure smooth, efficient and cost-effective manufacturing operations. You will lead a team, drive continuous improvement and ensure timely product delivery.

Depending on the candidate’s relevant experience, leadership capabilities and overall suitability, the appointment may be offered at either Assistant Manager or Manager level.

What You’ll Be Doing

Develop and implement production plans, material planning, inventory control, work-in-process tracking, capacity planning and variance control

Manage production scheduling to ensure timely delivery while minimizing inventory

Observe department performance, provide guidance and step in when necessary

Lead, train and support team members to enhance their performance and professional growth

Identify improvement opportunities within the department to enhance efficiency, productivity and quality

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and maintain continuous improvement

Monitor and report on key performance indicators to support informed decision-making

Perform other duties as assigned by management

What We’re Looking For

Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related field

At least 5 years of experience in production control and planning, with team leadership responsibility

Strong knowledge and experience in manufacturing operations, material handling and shipping/receiving

Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills

Leadership and team management capabilities to guide and develop staff

Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments
