Job summary
Dufu Technology Corp. Bhd. seeks a Quality Engineer (Supplier Quality) to monitor supplier performance at a designated site in Ulu Tiram, Johor. You will investigate defects, drive containment and corrective actions, and coordinate audits and PPAP activities.

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Engineering.
- Minimum 1 year in Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) or related role.
- Experience in supplier audits, incoming quality issues, 8D, CAPA or SCAR follow-up.
- Knowledge of NPI, FA and PPAP processes is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
- Able to interpret engineering drawings and inspection requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willing to be based in Johor.
Responsibilities
- Be stationed at supplier site in Ulu Tiram, Johor, to monitor and coordinate daily supplier quality matters.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier quality performance.
- Investigate incoming material and component quality issues.
- Work with suppliers on containment actions, root-cause analysis, 8D reports and corrective actions.
- Issue and follow up on Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR).
- Conduct supplier quality, process and system audits.
- Support supplier qualification, First Article Inspection (FAI), NPI and PPAP activities.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, inspection methods and quality requirements.
- Analyse supplier defect trends and drive continuous quality improvement.
- Coordinate quality matters between suppliers and relevant internal departments.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Quality Engineer (Supplier Quality) to be stationed at our supplier’s site in Ulu Tiram, Johor. You will represent Dufu in monitoring supplier quality performance, resolving quality issues, and driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Monitor and evaluate supplier quality performance
Investigate incoming material and component quality issues
Work with suppliers on containment actions, root-cause analysis, 8D reports and corrective actions
Issue and follow up on Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR)
Conduct supplier quality, process and system audits
Support supplier qualification, First Article Inspection (FAI), NPI and PPAP activities
Review engineering drawings, specifications, inspection methods and quality requirements
Analyse supplier defect trends and drive continuous quality improvement
Coordinate quality matters between suppliers and relevant internal departments
Prepare regular supplier quality reports and promptly escalat significant quality issues to Dufu’s QA team
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 1 year of working experience in Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) or a supplier quality-related role
Experience in supplier audits, incoming quality issues, 8D, CAPA or SCAR follow-up
Knowledge of NPI, FA and PPAP processes will be an advantage
Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management System
Able to interpret engineering drawings and understand inspection requirements
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with suppliers and internal teams
Willing to be based in Johor
