The role involves leading a team, driving continuous improvement and ensuring timely product delivery. Appointment may be at Assistant Manager or Manager level depending on experience and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or related field.
• 5+ years in production control and planning with team leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, material handling and shipping/receiving.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production plans, material planning, inventory control and capacity planning.
• Manage production scheduling to ensure timely delivery while minimizing inventory.
• Observe department performance and provide guidance as needed.
• Lead, train and support team members to improve performance and growth.
• Identify improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, productivity and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor and report on KPIs to support informed decisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Manage production scheduling to ensure timely delivery while minimizing inventory
• Observe department performance, provide guidance and step in when necessary
• Lead, train and support team members to enhance their performance and professional growth
• Identify improvement opportunities within the department to enhance efficiency, productivity and quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and maintain continuous improvement
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators to support informed decision-making
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

What We’re Looking For

• Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in production control and planning, with team leadership responsibility
• Strong knowledge and experience in manufacturing operations, material handling and shipping/receiving
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
• Leadership and team management capabilities to guide and develop staff
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments
