Job summary

YS Yat Shing Engineering Works Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Production Planner to orchestrate planning across welding, sheet metal, laser, bending, CNC and painting operations in Malaysia.

You will align production with customer POs and delivery dates, track progress from PO to delivery, and coordinate recovery actions with production and suppliers. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in production planning in precision metal fabrication or semiconductor back-end, can read engineering drawings, and is

Qualifications

• 3+ years as production planner in manufacturing or related field.
• Able to read engineering drawings and understand process routes.
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets & MRP experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production across welding, sheet metal, laser, bending, CNC and painting based on customer POs and delivery dates
• Track every job from PO to delivery; flag delays early and coordinate recovery (overtime, machine change, subcon)
• Plan materials and outsourced processes with purchasing
• Keep the job register updated daily so management and automated alerts stay accurate
• Communicate delivery status and revised dates to customers and sales
• Support the move and production ramp-up at our new Nilai facility

YS Yat Shing Engineering Works Sdn. Bhd. is an ISO 9001 precision metal fabricator serving the semiconductor back-end industry since 1992, offering robot and specialist welding, sheet metal, laser cutting, bending, CNC machining and double-column final machining. Based in Puchong, relocating to Nilai. Our planning runs on a live Google Sheets job register with automated WhatsApp alerts for overdue jobs and quotes.

Key responsibilities

Plan and schedule production across welding, sheet metal, laser, bending, CNC and painting based on customer POs and delivery dates

Track every job from PO to delivery; flag delays early and coordinate recovery (overtime, machine change, subcon)

Plan materials and outsourced processes with purchasing

Keep the job register updated daily so management and automated alerts stay accurate

Communicate delivery status and revised dates to customers and sales

Support the move and production ramp-up at our new Nilai facility

About you

3+ years as production planner in a manufacturing company; precision engineering, metal fabrication or semiconductor back-end preferred

Able to read engineering drawings and understand process routes

Strong Excel / Google Sheets & MRP experience an advantage

Organised, firm in following up with production and suppliers

Fluent English and Mandarin; Bahasa Malaysia an advantage
