YS Yat Shing Engineering Works Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on role to run AI-assisted systems for RFQ tracking, production alerts and follow-ups on the shop floor.

You will monitor WhatsApp alerts, maintain data accuracy, and drive improvements across manufacturing processes. The role reports to the Managing Director. Strong communication in English and Mandarin is required; Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.

Formación

• Diploma or degree in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering, or equivalent shop-floor experience.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin; Bahasa Malaysia an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and maintain WhatsApp alert bots, job register and production reports; provide first response when something stops working
• Work with estimators, purchasers, planners and factory leads to keep job and RFQ data updated on time; follow up in person on the shop floor
• Turn user feedback into clear improvement requests; test and roll out changes
• Interview senior technicians and capture process knowledge (WPS, SOPs, cycle times) before the Nilai consolidation
• Follow strict data-security rules for customer drawings and sensitive documents

YS Yat Shing Engineering Works Sdn. Bhd. is an ISO 9001 precision metal fabricator serving the semiconductor back-end industry since 1992, offering welding, sheet metal, laser cutting, bending and CNC machining services. Based in Puchong and relocating to Nilai, the company runs AI-assisted workflows for RFQ tracking, production alerts and follow-ups. This role requires someone on the ground to run these systems day to day and make them stick, reporting to the Managing Director. No coding background is required.

Key responsibilities

Monitor and maintain WhatsApp alert bots, job register and production reports; provide first response when something stops working

Work with estimators, purchasers, planners and factory leads to keep job and RFQ data updated on time; follow up in person on the shop floor

Turn user feedback into clear improvement requests; test and roll out changes

Interview senior technicians and capture process knowledge (WPS, SOPs, cycle times) before the Nilai consolidation

Follow strict data-security rules for customer drawings and sensitive documents

About you

Diploma or degree in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering, or equivalent shop-floor experience

Able to read engineering drawings and understand fabrication routes (welding, sheet metal, CNC)

Comfortable on the shop floor and confident following up with people

Fluent English and Mandarin; Bahasa Malaysia an advantage

Hands-on use of ChatGPT/Claude, Apps Script, n8n or Make (bring examples) is advantageous

Experience in production planning, delivery tracking or ISO documentation is advantageous
