Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in optimising our manufacturing operations and ensuring efficient production scheduling. As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring that production targets are met whilst maintaining quality standards and minimising costs. This role is essential to the success of our operations and directly impacts our ability to deliver products to our customers on time.

Key responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacity
• Coordinating with sales, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on production timelines and resource allocation
• Monitoring production progress and identifying potential bottlenecks or delays, implementing corrective actions as needed
• Monitor production efficiency, productivity, and overall performance against planned targets, identifying any gaps or issues and taking appropriate follow-up actions where necessary
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate follow-up actions to ensure adequate availability of raw materials and other necessary resources to support uninterrupted production operations and effective stock management
• Preparing production reports and performance metrics to track key production indicators
• Ensure production output consistently meets established quality standards, specifications, production requirements, and customer expectations
• Updating production plans in response to changes in demand, supply chain disruptions, or operational challenges
• Prepare material requirement plan according to demand, purchase term & condition, etc. for production use
• Supporting the production team with documentation and scheduling tools to enhance operational effectiveness

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Production Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field
• Proven experience of 2 to 3 years of working experience in Production Planning, Production, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or related field
• Good planning, coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage production schedules and priorities
• Sound understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and demand forecasting principles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across multiple departments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable
