Job summary

MRD in Malaysia is seeking a materials and production planner to support inventory management, production scheduling, procurement actions, and client inquiries. The role requires coordinating with manufacturing teams to ensure on-time delivery while maintaining safety and environmental standards.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of experience in production planning or related fields, with a background in engineering or logistics preferred. This on-site position is based in Johor Bahru.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: SPM / Certificate or Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial), Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of working experience in production planning, inventory control, or material planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong junior candidates or fresh graduates with a background in engineering/logistics are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Material & Inventory Management: Calculate material requirements, identify shortages, initiate purchase requests, and monitor stock levels to maintain optimal inventory.
• Production Scheduling: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports alongside short-term schedules and Manufacturing Orders (MO) to trace production progress.
• Procurement Support: Issue Purchase Order (PO) proposals and Material Request Forms (MRF) for external purchase items.
• Client & Inquiry Coordination: Provide timely responses regarding ETD and client inquiries.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all tasks comply with OSHMS safety standards and environmental guidelines.
• Machine Oversight: Take charge of assigned main machinery and perform related tasks as required by management.
