Job summary

SK8 Engineering in Malaysia seeks a seasoned Production Planner to develop and maintain schedules aligned with customer orders and forecasts. The role involves creating Gantt chart plans for production activities and tracking progress across multiple functions, using MS Project, Excel and ERP systems.

You will monitor progress, adjust timelines as needed, identify bottlenecks, and drive improvements in planning accuracy and efficiency, while preparing regular management reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or related field.
• 2–5 years’ experience in production planning or a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in project scheduling or manufacturing planning preferred.
• Proficient in creating and managing Gantt charts; strong Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production planning schedules based on customer orders and forecast demand.
• Create and manage Gantt chart schedules for production activities and project tracking.
• Use Microsoft Project / Excel / ERP system to plan and monitor production timeline.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Engineering teams to ensure material and capacity availability.
• Monitor daily production progress and adjust schedules when necessary.
• Identify potential bottlenecks or delays and propose recovery plans.
• Maintain accurate planning data (lead time, capacity, BOM, routing).
• Support continuous improvement in production efficiency and planning accuracy.
• Prepare weekly/monthly production reports for management review.
