Job Summary
We are seeking a Production Officer with hands‑on experience in semiconductor manufacturing operations to support daily production activities and ensure production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and in accordance with quality requirements.
The ideal candidate will have practical experience in a semiconductor production environment, preferably with a background in Quality Assurance, Process/ Manufacturing Engineering.
This role will work closely with Production, Engineering, QA, and other cross‑functional teams to monitor production performance, resolve operational issues and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor day‑to‑day production operations to ensure production plans, output, quality and delivery targets are achieved.
- Monitor production line performance, including output, yield, cycle time, downtime, WIP and OEE.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials and workflow to maintain smooth production operations.
- Monitor production processes and ensure compliance with SOPs, work instructions, quality standards and safety requirements.
- Identify and expedite production abnormalities, equipment issues, process deviations and quality concerns.
- Work closely with Engineering and QA teams on root‑cause analysis, corrective actions and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support investigation of production and quality issues using tools such as 5‑Why, Fishbone, 8D and basic statistical analysis.
- Monitor and follow up on quality excursions, defects, process deviations and product holds.
- Ensure proper handling, traceability and documentation of production lots/WIP.
- Prepare and maintain daily production reports, KPI reports and relevant manufacturing documentation.
- Support process improvement, productivity improvement, yield improvement and cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Assist in implementation of new processes, equipment, products or production changes.
- Ensure proper adherence to ESD, cleanroom, safety and semiconductor manufacturing requirement.
- Support audits and ensure production records and documentation are maintained accurately.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Management, Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor industry.
- Candidates with experience in QA or Engineering within the semiconductor industry are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Practical understanding of high‑volume manufacturing operations and production workflows.
- Good understanding of production KPIs such as yield, OEE, throughput, cycle time, downtime and productivity.
- Familiar with quality management and problem‑solving methodologies, such as 5‑Why, Fishbone, 8D, CAPA and SPC.
- Able to read and understand SOPs, process specifications and work instructions.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a hands‑on approach to resolving shop‑floor issues.
- Good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across Production, Engineering and QA teams.
- Able to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
