Job summary

Mason & Co is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily production, fabrication, and mechanical assembly in our metal fabrication facility in Malaysia. You will manage scheduling, manpower planning, materials, and project deadlines while leading a team including engineers and technicians.

Applicants should have 5–8 years in production/operations management, strong welding, CNC machining, and piping skills, and experience with MRP/ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 5–8 years of production/operations management experience.
• Strong experience in welding, CNC machining, piping, fabrication drawings, and mechanical assembly.
• Experience in project-based manufacturing, production planning, MRP/ERP, and inventory control.
• Strong leadership and hands-on shop-floor management skills.
• BEM registration is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production, fabrication, and mechanical assembly to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Manage production scheduling, manpower planning, material requirements, and project deadlines.
• Lead and develop the production team, including 1 Senior Production Engineer, 1 Fabrication Supervisor, 6 Production Technicians, and 1 Planning Supervisor.
• Ensure technical drawings, welding, CNC machining, piping fabrication, and mechanical assembly meet required standards.
• Coordinate mechanical assembly with pneumatic systems, vacuum pumps, piping networks, and basic PLC/control panel integration.
• Drive continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, productivity, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, DOSH, and workplace safety requirements.
