Job summary

Just Manufacturing Sdn Bhd invites a Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team, supporting and improving production processes for metal safety door products from design and modelling through to fabrication.

You will work with production, engineering, quality and purchasing to ensure efficient, accurate manufacturing that meets specifications, with a focus on continuous improvement and documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Production Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Fusion 360 for 3D modelling and engineering design.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances and specifications.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills, good communication and teamwork.
• Fluency in English and Malay; experience in metal fabrication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D models, drawings, and production designs using Fusion 360.
• Develop and improve product designs for metal components.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and fabrication information.
• Translate product designs into efficient manufacturing processes.
• Support process improvements in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Assist in developing BOMs, work instructions, process flows, and SOPs.
• Conduct trial runs and support the introduction of new products or design changes.
• Monitor progress to ensure on-time delivery and quality compliance.
• Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
• Maintain engineering documentation and updated drawings and production documents.

Job description

We are looking for a Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and improving production processes for our metal safety door products, from product design and modelling through to fabrication and production. You will work closely with the production, engineering, quality, and purchasing teams to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, accurately, and according to specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D models, drawings, and production designs using Fusion 360
• Develop and improve product designs for metal and related components
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, dimensions, material specifications, and fabrication information for production
• Translate product designs into practical and efficient manufacturing processes
• Support process improvements and optimization in collaboration with engineering teams
• Assist in developing Bill of Materials (BOM), work instructions, process flow, and standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Conduct trial runs and support the introduction of new products or design changes into production
• Monitor and track product progress to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance
• Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions for production and quality issues
• Maintain proper engineering documentation and ensure drawings and production documents are updated

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field
• Able to use Fusion 360 for 3D modelling and engineering design
• Fluency in English and Malay is required
• Experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing will be an advantage
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes such as cutting, bending, welding, drilling, grinding, and assembly
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control
• Good problem solving and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Good communication and teamwork skills
