Job summary

Master Tec Wire & Cable Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Senior Plant Operations Manager to lead end-to-end production, coordinate TPM activities, and drive OEE performance improvements across all lines. You will work closely with engineering, maintenance, and QA teams to sustain productive, safe operations.

The role requires a strong background in Lean, RCA, and ERP-driven manufacturing, with proven leadership in high-volume environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• 5–8 years hands-on manufacturing ops experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record in process optimization, line balancing, and capacity planning.
• Strong background in Lean, RCA, and ERP-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and monitor end-to-end plant operations to meet daily, monthly, and annual production targets.
• Optimize key operational metrics, including OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), scrap reduction, downtime, and cycle times.
• Partner with Maintenance to implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and minimize unplanned machine breakdowns.
• Champion Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives across all operational lines.
• Collaborate closely with QA/QC to maintain ISO 9001 compliance and ensure stringent product quality control.
• Oversee manpower planning, shift scheduling, and technical upskilling through line-level training and skill matrices.
• Uphold and enforce strict Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH/OSHA) standards across all shop-floor activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
• Proven track record in process optimization, line balancing, and capacity planning.
• Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, root-cause analysis (RCA), and ERP-driven production environments.
• Solid people leadership skills with experience managing engineers, supervisors, and high-volume direct labor teams.
