Private Advertiser seeks an experienced manufacturing leader to supervise a production team, drive quality, and improve cost efficiency across the plant. You will coordinate staff and equipment to meet KPI targets while implementing new processes and upgrades.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing management or engineering, with at least 10 years in manufacturing and 5 years in capacity planning, plus strong process control and problem-solving skills. Safety and 5S are essential.
To achieve Department and Individual KPIs, meet section productivity targets, reduce defects and achieve the targeted defect rate, as well as lead production operations by coordinating production staff and equipment to ensure product quality, operational efficiency, and profitability.
Supervise and coordinate activities for the manufacturing team to support plant quality and cost improvement goals and opportunities.
To be responsible for commissioning new equipment or production units or new processes, monitoring modification and upgrades, and troubleshooting existing processes for out-of-control situations and out-of-specification situations.
To lead and manage manufacturing planning for the development and implementation of the production line with related departments.
To monitor process performance indices on qualified processes and establish good controls to maintain process performance.
To oversee and ensure that all critical nodes for quality indices are improved on qualified processes using quality improvement tools.
To ensure all aspects of an operation or process meet specific requirements.
To ensure productivity improvement through process changes, documents, specifications, and work instructions.
Work closely with engineers and production executives on improving machine efficiency, optimizing the process, and implementing yield improvement and cost reduction programs.
To ensure good housekeeping & 5S in the production area.
To follow up on relevant production non-conformance issues and ensure action is taken accordingly.
To follow the company’s management system of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other regulatory compliance matters.
Responsibility for determining the best and most efficient uses of the available resources, including equipment and labor, to meet production goals. To follow a direction and to achieve KPI, assign job duties, determine equipment and supplies required, and build a production schedule on time.
Monitor the progress of production (from raw material to the end process – Warehouse, Dryer, Set Room, Hot Press, Finishing, and Delivery) confirming that it stays on schedule. Meet regularly with production teams and managers to analyse any problems and ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of products.
Must always be on the lookout for problems hampering effectiveness. And expected to develop new and cost-effective ways to improve quality and productivity. This could include developing new ways of manufacturing, improving existing manufacturing processes, providing additional training, or adopting better manufacturing processes.
Lead and manage manufacturing planning for the development and implementation of the production line with related departments.
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree qualification in manufacturing management or equivalent.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is an added advantage.
Minimum 10 years of working experience in the manufacturing industry with 5 years working experience in manufacturing capacity.
Knowledge of process control and adequate supervisory skills.
Good communication skills and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of the ERP system.
