Job summary

Sunway Building Materials Group in Johor seeks an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily operations, drive output, efficiency, and quality targets, and lead production teams to achieve plan adherence.

You will coordinate schedules, collaborate with QA/QC, Maintenance, Store, Logistics and Planning, and champion continuous improvement while upholding ISO 9001/14001/45001 and safe, sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day production activities to ensure achievement of output, efficiency, and quality targets.
• Plan and coordinate production schedules, manpower allocation, and resource utilisation.
• Monitor production performance, downtime, productivity, and key operational indicators.
• Work closely with QA/QC, Maintenance, Store, Logistics, and Planning to ensure smooth operations.
• Resolve production issues promptly and support process stabilisation and improvement.
• Lead and guide Production Supervisors, Executives, Leaders, and Operators.
• Ensure proper discipline, housekeeping, and adherence to production procedures.
• Review production reports, operational data, and provide inputs for management decision‑making.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimise workflow.
• Ensure adequate training, competency, and performance management for production employees.
• Coordinate with Management on operational planning, cost optimisation, and resource requirements.
• Promote and enforce safe work practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to the company’s IMS (ISO 9001/14001/45001) and report quality, environmental, or safety issues.
• Perform any other production‑related duties assigned by Senior Management.
• Promote sustainable production by complying with EHS rules and pursuing energy and waste reduction.

• Perform any other production‑related duties assigned by Senior Management.
