Job summary

Thong Guan Industries Berhad seeks an Electrical Technician for our Gurun Branch Padang Lembu. You will install, maintain and repair electrical systems and machinery in our plastics manufacturing facility, ensuring safe and efficient production.

The role requires a Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering and 3–5 years of relevant experience, with a focus on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and teamwork with Production and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or a related field.
• Strong technical knowledge in industrial electrical systems and machinery.
• Experience in electrical troubleshooting, maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, equipment and machinery within the manufacturing facility.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure smooth and safe production operations.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults, breakdowns and equipment malfunctions and carry out necessary repairs.
• Inspect electrical wiring, control panels, motors, sensors, switches and other electrical components.
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance of electrical systems and machinery.
• Assist in the installation, modification and upgrading of electrical equipment and machinery.
• Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
• Ensure all electrical work is carried out in accordance with safety procedures, company standards and relevant electrical requirements.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, repairs and replacement of electrical components.
• Work closely with the Production and Engineering teams to identify and resolve machine-related electrical issues.
• Ensure tools, equipment and work areas are properly maintained and kept in good condition.

Position: Electrical Technician

Job Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, equipment and machinery within the manufacturing facility.

Job Requirements

Minimum Certificate / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or a related field.

3–5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

Strong technical knowledge in industrial electrical systems and machinery.

Experience in electrical troubleshooting, maintenance and repair.

Able to work independently as well as in a team.

Willing to work overtime and attend to machine breakdowns when required.

Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsible, disciplined and safety-conscious.
