Job summary

Kian Joo Can Factory Berhad is seeking a Production Planning professional in Malaysia to plan, forecast, and monitor inventory for smooth production. You will coordinate with managers on engineering changes, plan manpower and materials, and ensure raw materials meet production needs while maintaining quality and customer specifications.

The role requires strong analytical and Excel skills, with experience in import/export regulations being an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and strong numerical skills.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, forecast and monitor inventory situation, production schedule and other requirements for effective inventory of raw materials and ensure smooth supply as planned.
• Monitor the execution of production plan and resolve any potential issues in a timely manner.
• Investigate production problems, analyze root causes and provide solutions.
• Plan equipment, materials and manpower requirements to execute job orders.
• Coordinate with managers in planning and implementing engineering changes in production lines.
• Plan inventory management processes to avoid shortages and excesses.
• Monitor production progress and ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications.
• Analyze delays and interruptions and accordingly adjust production schedule to meet deadlines.
• Maintain reports for production planning activities and sequences.
• Provide stock take reports to ensure physical and system stock tally, and where there is a variance, note the reasons for it.
• Coordinate for smooth running, monitor and keep sufficient stock level to support production requirement.
• Issue components out of the system for daily production orders.
• Manage, coordinate and support other departments if needed.
