Job summary

Thong Guan Industries Berhad is seeking a warehouse professional to manage inventory and all warehouse operations at our northern Malaysia facility. You will monitor stock, coordinate inspections, and ensure system accuracy using WMS and ERP.

The role requires a degree in warehouse or logistics, and involves collaborating with transporters and internal teams to maintain smooth operations in a plastics packaging environment. Strong leadership and independent work ethic are essential.

Responsibilities

• Inventory management and warehouse operations accountability.
• Arrange and coordinate delivery inspections to ensure product quality and compliance with requirements.
• Monitor stock levels and place replenishment orders as needed.
• Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile variances.
• Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Utilize WMS to track inventory movements and maintain records.
• Generate weekly and monthly operational reports (inventory aging, slow-moving stock, delivery performance).
• Liaise with transporters and internal departments to coordinate operations.

Job description

Responsibility and accountability for inventory management and all warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

Arrange and coordinate delivery inspections to ensure product quality and compliance with requirements

Monitor stock levels and place orders to replenish products as needed to maintain optimal inventory

Monitor and ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, stock takes, and reconciliation of variances

Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions

Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and maintain records

Generate and analyse weekly and monthly operational reports (inventory aging, slow-moving stock, delivery performance, etc.) to support decision-making

Liaise with transporters, and internal departments to coordinate operations smoothly

About you

Degree in Warehouse or Logistics

Professional qualification in logistic, supply chain, material management is an added advantage

Knowledge in handling ERP system

At least 3 years above Warehouse (2-4 years prior experience)

Good interpersonal and leadership skill

Able to work independently and have self-discipline
