Job summary

Sonoco Products (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam is seeking a Production Executive-Metal Stamping to oversee and optimize high‑volume metal stamping operations. You will monitor production processes, enforce safety rules, and ensure compliance with Sonoco's Quality Manual while driving continuous improvement and preventing defects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and at least 3 years of supervisory or executive experience in fast‑paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or any engineering field
• Minimum 3 years working experience as a Production Supervisor/Executive in a high volume high speed manufacturing environment
• Experience in Metal Stamping industry is an advantage
• Experience in FMCG Manufacturing environment, in food packaging or metal press
• Experience in daily management of production processes including production planning & control, material & inventory control and manpower planning
• Experience and knowledge in improving operational efficiencies through productivity gains and cost reduction programs
• Root cause analysis of production issues and problem solving
• Experience in production quality management towards customer satisfaction
• Knowledge in Food Safety Management Systems, GMP is an advantage
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Power Point

Responsibilities

Job description

As the Production Executive-Metal Stamping, you are responsible to control, monitor and evaluate production processes and safety. You are also responsible to implement and follow all production activities as per Sonoco’s Production and Quality Manual. Successful applicants are expected to establish a safe and healthy working environment by ensuring compliance to Sonoco’s Safety Plan and Procedure, and are expected to strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of operations through problem solving, innovative thinking and corrective/preventive action plan.

Education/Academic Background:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any engineering field

Experience:

Minimum3 years working experience as a Production Supervisor/Executive in a high volume high speed manufacturing environment

Experience working in the Metal Stamping industry is an advantage.

Experience in FMCG Manufacturing environment, in food packaging or metal press

Knowledge & Skill:

Experience in daily management of production processes including production planning & control, material & inventory control and manpower planning

Experience and knowledge in improving operational efficiencies through productivity gains and cost reduction programs

Have experience in trouble-shooting production issues and analyzing root cause

Experience and involvement in production quality management towards achieving customer satisfaction

Knowledge in Food Safety Management Systems, GMP is an advantange

Familiar with Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and Power Point

A highly motivated individual who is willing to take initiatives, follow up with details and has high concern on safety

Works well in a team environment and able to work under challenging situations

Able to work with minimal supervision and at times independently
