Job summary

AT&S Malaysia in Kulim Hi-Tech Park seeks a Production Supervisor to coordinate production activities, ensuring adequate materials, equipment and personnel to meet schedules. You will uphold strict quality standards, lead a production team, and implement planning and improvement initiatives across shifts.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or materials science, 8+ years in semiconductor/PCB/substrate environments, and strong problem solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or materials science; equivalent accepted.
• Semiconductor/PCB/substrate fabrication experience preferred; clean room environment experience.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities; independent work capability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all production activities to meet schedules, ensuring material, equipment and staff availability.
• Uphold quality standards with QC measures to meet/exceed specs.
• Identify and address production issues to minimize disruptions.
• Lead and manage production teams; motivate and guide staff.
• Develop and implement production plans and schedules based on orders and inventory.
• Allocate labor, materials and equipment to optimize efficiency.
• Inspect products at various stages; drive quality improvements; address non-conformities.
• Train, supervise and evaluate production workers; enforce safety procedures.
• Maintain production equipment; coordinate repairs and report issues.
• Monitor inventory of raw materials and finished goods; liaise with purchasing/logistics.
• Collect production data; prepare reports; identify improvement opportunities.
• Follow supervisor decisions and complete tasks timely.
• Communicate across shifts to align arrangements.
• Drive 5S and safety standards on the shop floor; keep it clean and tidy.
• Track production progress; anticipate and act on risks.
• Ensure systematic training for shift staff.
• Attend operation forums and lead area meetings; steer loading strategy, WIP and targets.

• Collect and analyse production data, prepare reports on production performance, and identify areas for improvement.
• Follow superior’s decision and complete assigned task in timely manner
• Communicate and align the arrangement with the peer in other shifts
• Drive for the implementation of 5S and safety standard to ensure shopfloor environment is always maintained at a very clean and tidy level.
• Abide the progress of production lot according to the schedule.
• Anticipate on, and recognise and take action for events/situations that could adversely affect production efficiencies.
• Ensure training to all the shift staff is systematic organized and well prepared, aiming that the trainee effectively learn and understand how to execute defined rules and task completion.
• Attend all the operation’s forums & show leadership – Area meeting. Leadership in loading strategy, WIP, LT, MP and MA toward goals.

Your profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Material Science fields or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years experience as supervisory role in Semiconductor or PCB or Substrate Fabrications, Wafer Fabrication, Assembly and Test Engineering, Maintenance or Production Operations or equivalent, (required to work in clean room enviroment)
• Knowledge of quality tools: 8D, SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA, CP, JMP Software, Six Sigma Process tools
• Strong problem solving skills, good analytical skills
• Able to work independently, minimum supervision, dedicated, results oriented, hardworking and able to work under pressure
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
