Job summary

INDUSTRIAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT SDN BHD in Malaysia is seeking dedicated Operators to join the Blanking and Stamping production team. You will assist in setup, operation, and basic maintenance of stamping presses to produce high-quality automotive components.

The role emphasizes safety, quality checks, shift work, and teamwork; training is provided for fresh graduates. Candidates should be able to handle metal sheets and work with 5S principles in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate blanking and stamping presses per SOP.

• Perform daily machine inspection and basic maintenance.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area per 5S.
• Report defects or safety concerns promptly.

OPERATOR / OPERATION SUPPORT TEAM (BLANKING / STAMPING)

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Operators / Operation Support Team Members to join our Blanking and Stamping production team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the setup, operation, and maintenance of blanking and metal stamping machinery to produce high-quality precision automotive components. You will ensure operational safety, adhere to quality standards, and support daily production targets.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Machine Operation

Operate manual, semi-automated, or fully automated blanking and stamping presses in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Load metal coils, sheets, or blanks into machines or automated feeders properly and safely.

Monitor machine performance during operation, making minor adjustments when necessary to ensure optimal speed and accuracy.

Unload, sort, pack, and properly label finished parts and metal stampings for transfer to downstream processes.

Support die/tool setup and turnover alongside setup technicians to minimize machine downtime.

Quality Control & Inspection

Conduct visual and dimensional checks on first-piece and in-process stamped components using standard measuring tools.

Identify and report surface defects or dimensional deviations immediately to the Quality Assurance (QA) or Supervisory team.

Isolate defective parts/materials and adhere to non-conforming product control procedures.

Operation Support & Maintenance

Perform daily machine inspection, cleaning, and basic autonomous maintenance.

Assist in maintaining material flow and inventory accuracy at the blanking/stamping workstations.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area using 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).

Safety & Compliance

Strictly adhere to company occupational safety regulations, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, and operate safety mechanisms (light curtains, two-hand trip devices).

Immediately report any unsafe machine conditions, hazards, or near-miss incidents to the Supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: SPM / STPM / Certificate / SKM (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia) in Mechanical, automotive, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience.

Fresh graduates or entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply (training will be provided).

Prior experience as a press operator or machine operator in the automotive manufacturing or metal stamping industry is a strong advantage.

Good discipline, attendance record, and team-oriented attitude.

Physical capability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy metal sheets/coils safely.

Willingness to work in shift rotations and perform overtime (OT) when required by production schedules.
