Job summary

SEMS Sdn Bhd, based in Beranang, Selangor, is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate production planning, daily performance, and cross-department communication to meet targets and delivery commitments.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering with 3–5 years in production planning or scheduling in a metal/steel environment. Proficiency in Excel and good analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or production management within steel works or metal manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and production reporting.

• Prepare and monitor production schedules and daily output plans.
• Track production performance, efficiency, scrap, and downtime.
• Coordinate material availability, manpower, and machine capacity.
• Liaise with Production Supervisors, QC, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Planning.

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or production management within a steel works or metal manufacturing environment

Manufacturing or production coordination experience preferred.

Good analytical, organisational, and communication skills.

Acknowledge safety and health process and procedure for manufacturing

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and production reporting.

Able to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines
