Job summary

Sonoco Products (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam is seeking a Production Executive-Metal Stamping to oversee and optimize high‑volume metal stamping operations. You will monitor production processes, enforce safety rules, and ensure compliance with Sonoco's Quality Manual while driving continuous improvement and preventing defects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and at least 3 years of supervisory or executive experience in fast‑paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or any engineering field
• Minimum 3 years working experience as a Production Supervisor/Executive in a high volume high speed manufacturing environment
• Experience in Metal Stamping industry is an advantage
• Experience in FMCG Manufacturing environment, in food packaging or metal press
• Experience in daily management of production processes including production planning & control, material & inventory control and manpower planning
• Experience and knowledge in improving operational efficiencies through productivity gains and cost reduction programs
• Root cause analysis of production issues and problem solving
• Experience in production quality management towards customer satisfaction
• Knowledge in Food Safety Management Systems, GMP is an advantage
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Power Point

Responsibilities

• Control, monitor and evaluate production processes and safety
• Coordinate and follow production activities per Sonoco’s manuals
• Establish a safe and healthy working environment and comply with Safety Plan
• Drive continuous improvement through problem solving and corrective/preventive actions
• Manage production planning, materials, inventory and manpower
• Improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
• Troubleshoot production issues and analyze root causes
• Ensure production quality management aligns with customer satisfaction
