• Allocate workers to production tasks and ensure targets are met.

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Production Executive to assist in coordinating daily production activities, manage production workers, liaise with clients, and ensure that production and loading/unloading activities are carried out smoothly and according to the production plan.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Coordination

• Assist the Production Planner in preparing and coordinating daily production schedules.
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure jobs are completed according to the planned schedule and delivery requirements.
• Monitor the progress of production and report any delays, issues, or operational problems to the relevant person.
• Assist in prioritising urgent jobs and adjusting the production arrangement when necessary.

Client Coordination

• Assist in arranging and coordinating with clients regarding delivery, collection, loading, unloading, and other operational matters.
• Attend to clients who arrive at the factory and ensure their requirements are properly communicated to the relevant departments.
• Coordinate with clients on job status and collection/delivery arrangements.

Loading & Unloading Operations

• Arrange and supervise workers for the loading and unloading of goods.
• Ensure goods are properly handled, arranged, secured, and moved safely.
• Coordinate loading and unloading activities according to the production and delivery schedule.
• Ensure the loading/unloading area is kept organised and safe.

Worker Management & Discipline

• Assist in monitoring overall worker discipline, attendance, punctuality, and work performance.
• Ensure workers follow company rules, safety requirements, work instructions, and proper workplace practices.
• Allocate workers to the appropriate work areas according to daily operational requirements.
• Report serious disciplinary or performance issues to management.

Production Worker Coordination

• Manage and allocate workers to ensure sufficient manpower is available for each production activity.
• Direct workers to carry out production activities according to the approved production plan.
• Monitor workers' progress and ensure production targets and schedules are achieved.
• Ensure workers perform their duties efficiently and safely.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other departments to resolve production issues.

General Responsibilities

• Assist management in ensuring smooth day-to-day factory operations.
• Maintain good communication between the production team, planner, warehouse/logistics team, clients, and management.
• Ensure workplace safety, cleanliness, and proper housekeeping are maintained.
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities reasonably assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Production Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, steel, construction, or industrial environment will be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with workers and clients.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding factory environment.
• Willing to be hands-on and involved in daily production operations.
• Able to work independently and make appropriate operational decisions.
• Good discipline, responsibility, and problem-solving ability.
