Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia, Kajang, is seeking a proactive Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team. You will support the Operations Manager to optimise production processes, drive efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.

Working with production and QC teams, you will develop SOPs, analyze data, troubleshoot equipment, and lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Kaizen, DMAIC and Six Sigma. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates welcome; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficient with MS Office; knowledge of AI tools and engineering software.
• Willing to work overtime to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support Operations Manager in daily production operations.
• Monitor and control daily production processes to meet specs, manpower, and assignments.
• Analyze production data to identify process improvements.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues with maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement SOPs for production lines.
• Maintain and update production procedures for safety, ISO, and policies.
• Collaborate with QC to enhance product performance and reduce defects.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, DMAIC, Six Sigma).

About the Role

The Production Engineer will support our Operation and Production Manager to ensure smooth production operations, optimising and improving overall manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and cost reduction, and ensuring product quality standards are achieved. This role works closely with production teams to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Operations Manager in managing daily production operations.
• Monitor and control daily production processes to ensure output meets required specifications including manpower and work assignment.
• Analyse production data and identify areas for process improvements.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, coordinating with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production lines.
• Maintain and update production procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, ISO, and company policies.
• Collaborate with QC and team members to enhance product performance and reduce defects.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, DMAIC and Six Sigma.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing industry preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and QC processes, and willing to learn.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
