Job summary

Master Tec Wire & Cable seeks a skilled supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations in Alor Gajah, Melaka. You will drive production schedules, maximize machinery throughput, and ensure optimal manpower allocation across shifts.

You will monitor performance, minimize waste, lead lean initiatives, enforce 5S and safety standards, and collaborate with QA/QC, engineering, and maintenance to resolve issues and sustain IMS compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 2-4 years of supervisory or executive experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and knowledge of lean manufacturing and safety.

Responsibilities

Monitor machine performance and output quality. Identify bottlenecks, minimize scrap/material wastage, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead, train, and supervise technicians and general operators. Foster a culture of discipline, high productivity, and accountability on the shop floor.

Partner with the QA/QC team to maintain strict adherence to IMS standards. Ensure all products meet technical specifications and handle troubleshooting for any process deviations.

Work with the engineering and maintenance team to schedule routine servicing and resolve equipment breakdowns promptly.

Track daily production output, scrap rates, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE); prepare accurate operational reports for management review.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
• Minimum 2-4 years of supervisory or executive experience in a manufacturing environment (experience with continuous manufacturing or heavy machinery operations is highly advantageous).
• Strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of lean manufacturing, 5S, and safety regulations.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English; the ability to communicate with a diverse workforce is essential.
• Willing to work in Alor Gajah / Rembia, Melaka and flexible to support shift rotations or overtime when necessary to meet peak production demands.
