Job summary

DKSH is seeking a Senior/Product Specialist, Medical Device (Laboratory) in Malaysia to drive product specialist sales growth across laboratories and healthcare. You will expand analyzer placements, grow EQA program participation, and build strong relationships with healthcare professionals for accurate diagnostics.

You will educate HCPs on EQA programs and drive uptake of analyzers and related products while coordinating enrolment and after-sales support across hospital networks.

Qualifications

• Degree in bioscience, bioengineering or related field.
• CME talks experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation across healthcare stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership.
• Willingness to travel ~25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Plan and achieve sales targets for RCPA QA programs, analyzers and related products across laboratories and hospitals.
• Educate HCPs on the value of EQA programs and diagnostics.
• Retain and grow existing accounts by expanding EQA program engagement.
• Identify and develop new accounts and drive uptake of analyzers and EQA programs.
• Collaborate with vendors and Bumiputera partners to grow business.
• Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly with effective solutions.
• Coordinate RCPA enrolment with internal/external teams.
• Engage hospital cross-functional teams to place analyzers and enable purchases.
• Conduct product presentations and provide after-sales support; monitor competitor activity.

About The Role

The Senior/Product Specialist, Medical Device (Laboratory) is responsible for driving product specialist sales growth within the laboratory and healthcare segment across designated territories. This role delivers direct business impact for DKSH by expanding analyzer placements, growing participation in External Quality Assurance (EQA) programs, and building strong relationships with healthcare professionals to support accurate and accessible diagnostics.

What You Will Deliver

• Plan and achieve sales targets for Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) quality assurance programs, analyzers, and related products across laboratories, private hospitals, teaching hospitals, and government hospitals within the designated territory
• Educate Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and relevant stakeholders on the value of EQA programs and related products, emphasizing their role in enabling accurate, reliable, and user-friendly diagnostics
• Retain and grow existing customer accounts by deepening engagement on EQA sample programs and expanding the patient base for current analyzer parameters
• Identify and develop new potential accounts, evaluate their commercial viability, and drive uptake of analyzers, product categories, and new EQA programs
• Collaborate with vendors and Bumiputera business partners to drive effective and sustainable business growth
• Address customer requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly, providing appropriate and effective solutions to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Work with internal and external cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely RCPA enrolment for customers
• Engage with hospital cross-functional teams to facilitate analyzer placements and outright purchase opportunities
• Conduct product presentations and deliver after-sales support to existing customers, while monitoring competitor activities regularly to identify market opportunities and risksAdministrative duties and coordination tasks as required

What You Bring

• Minimum Degree in Bioscience, Bioengineering, or a related field
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience, or 5 to 6 years for the senior role, preferably with laboratory-related product or medical device experience
• Experience in planning and conducting Continuing Medical Education (CME) talks
• Good communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage effectively across diverse healthcare stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal skills with an independent, entrepreneurial mindset and a strong sense of ownership
• Willingness to travel outstation as required, approximately 25% of the time
