Job summary

STRATEL (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD is seeking a pre-sales technical consultant to translate customer requirements into tailored security solutions, including CCTV, access control, biometrics and related software. You will design solutions, present them in technical briefings, and run PoCs for customers.

The role also involves supporting bids and collaborating with sales, product and delivery teams to ensure successful project handovers across Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in a related engineering/IT field.
• Experience in electronic security systems (CCTV, alarm, access control, biometrics) is advantageous.
• Experience in pre-sales, solution design, technical sales or product support preferred.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in technical sales, systems engineering or IT consulting.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Solution Design: translate customer requirements into tailored security architectures.

• Solution Design: Gather and analyse customer requirements to translate them into tailored solution proposals and architectures.
• Security Solution: Develop security solutions covering the following and recommend suitable products.
  • Intrusion / Alarm Systems
  • Access Control
  • Face Recognition / Biometric Systems
  • Security Management Software
  • System Integration
• Technical Presentations: Deliver high-impact product briefings and solution demonstrations to prospective clients.
• PoC Execution: Design, plan, and conduct Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate solutions for customers.
• Bid & Tender Management: Assist the sales team by managing the technical components of RFPs, RFQs, and tenders.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the core sales, product, and delivery teams to ensure successful closure and smooth project handovers.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Networking, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in electronic security systems, CCTV, alarm, access control, biometrics or related technology will be an advantage.
