Fengshi Metal Technology in Malaysia seeks a Product/Manufacturing Engineer to drive NPI from design reviews to mass production. You will review customer drawings and BOMs for feasibility, and propose DFM/DFA improvements to optimize cost, quality, and production efficiency.
Prepare and maintain engineering documents, support customization during production, and work with sheet metal, stamping, machining, and assembly teams to resolve issues. Proficient CAD skills and GD&T knowledge are required.

Support new product introduction (NPI) from design review to mass production.
Review customer drawings, specifications, and BOMs for feasibility and manufacturability.
Propose DFM/DFA improvements to optimize cost, quality, and production efficiency.
Prepare and maintain engineering documents (drawings, specifications, ECN/ECR).
Support product customization and engineering changes during production lifecycle.
Work closely with sheet metal, stamping, machining, and assembly teams to resolve technical issues.
Support tooling, fixture, jig, and die development and improvement.
Assist in defining manufacturing processes, work instructions, and control plans.
Support first article inspection (FAI) and pilot runs.
Act as technical contact for customers on product-related matters.
Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and problem-solving with customers.
Support quotation and cost estimation by providing technical inputs.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for product issues (8D, CAPA).
Ensure products comply with customer requirements, industry standards, and internal quality systems.
Drive continuous improvement in product design and manufacturing processes.
Ensure operations comply with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry certifications (e.g., ISO standards ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO14001).
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in product engineering / manufacturing engineering (sheet metal or precision manufacturing preferred).
Experience with sheet metal fabrication, stamping, CNC machining, and assembly is highly advantageous.
Strong understanding of DFM/DFA principles.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
Familiar with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar).
Knowledge of materials (steel, stainless steel, aluminum) and surface treatments.
Good problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.
