Jora Malaysia is seeking a Product Development / Technical Project Engineer to research market trends and feed findings into development strategies. You will support project plans, technical objectives, and budgets while assessing technical requirements and scope for electronics or semiconductor projects.
You will translate customer needs into product requirements, review drawings with internal teams, and perform feasibility studies on manufacturability and processes.

Conduct market and product trend research and feed findings to support new product development and management's strategy discussion.
Contribute to project plans, technical objectives and budget.
Conduct project study and review to assess technical requirements and scope.
Support RFQ evaluation by reviewing customer requirements and specifications, and provide the technical data the commercial team needs for costing and quotation.
Work with cross-functional teams to establish customer needs, translate them into product requirements, and verify design output meets design input.
Interpret customer drawings and convey technical requirements to internal engineering/operation teams.
Conduct technical feasibility studies with Engineering/R&D, assessing manufacturability, materials and process.
Support prototyping, design verification/validation and design reviews through development gates.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, and support engineering change control.
Ensure designs and specifications conform to applicable standards and customer/regulatory requirements.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations for internal and customer engineering reviews.
Provide on-site support and technical/product training for the sales team.
Be hands‑on with product development when required.
Liaise with other departments, customers, suppliers and service providers, maintaining good working relationships.
Travel to other office locations and customer sites, including overseas, as required.
Job Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering, E&E Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
3-5 years of experience in electronics or semiconductor manufacturing.
Hands‑on experience with optoelectronics, LEDs/MicroLEDs, lasers, or fiber optics.
