Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to identify and develop new business opportunities, understanding customer technical requirements and recommending suitable products and solutions. You will act as the technical liaison between customers and the company, providing pre-sales and post-sales support.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering or a related field.
• Strong technical understanding with ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Good communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Willing to travel for customer visits when required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities and potential customers.
• Understand customer technical requirements and recommend suitable products/solutions.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and quotations.
• Act as the technical point of contact between customers and the company.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
• Prepare technical proposals, specifications, datasheets, and other sales documentation.
• Conduct customer visits and attend meetings to understand their requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, R&D, Production, Quality, and other departments to fulfil customer requirements.
• Follow up on quotations, purchase orders, deliveries, and project status.
• Maintain good relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for repeat business or upselling.

• Strong technical understanding and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Good communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Customer-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
• Willing to travel for customer visits when required
• Able to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of CRM systems is an advantage
• Fresh graduates with strong technical and communication skills may also be considered
