Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced procurement professional to oversee partners and stakeholders through the full project lifecycle. You will assess and mitigate risks, enhance third-party risk management, and drive cost reductions while ensuring continuity of operations across the supply chain.

The role requires 2+ years in procurement, fluency in English and Mandarin, and experience with production planning in FMCG or related industries. Location is in Kuala Lumpur with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Supply Chain/Logistics/Economics/Business Administration or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of procurement/purchasing experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and search engines.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin with supplier communication abilities.
• Experience in FMCG/AP/Merchandise or related industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise business partners and internal stakeholders through project lifecycle.

• Develop and uplift business partners to leadership for strong relationships.

• Create and update weekly/monthly procurement and KPI reports.
• Travel to meet local and foreign vendors as needed.

This role involves overseeing and supervising business partners and internal stakeholders on all activities from start to end of the project. You will holistically manage risk in predicting, managing, and mitigating risk, and enhance third-party risk management capabilities across a broader range of risk exposures, going deeper into the levels of supply chain, and continuous monitoring throughout the supplier life cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise business partners and internal stakeholders on all activities from start to end of the project
• Predict, manage, and mitigate risk and enhance third-party risk management capabilities across a broader range of risk exposures
• Support organization stability through ensuring continuity of business operation with supply assurance and spend cost reduction
• Build, manage, elevate and upgrade business partners to leadership who can develop and maintain strong business relationships
• Review, compare, analyse, negotiate and manage purchase contracts
• Create and manage procurement management plan for each project which sets and defines everything related to the project including products to be procured, contracts, cost determination, decision criteria, production schedule, and product production process identification
• Create, maintain and update weekly and monthly procurement and KPI reports
• Travel to meet with both local and foreign vendors to monitor and control projects when needed

About you

• Possess at least Diploma or a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics/Economics/Business Administration or equivalent
• 2 years of working experience in Procurement/Purchasing
• Computer literate and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Search Engines
• Fluent in English and Mandarin with ability to communicate effectively with suppliers from China
• Experience or relevant experience in production planning (FMCG/A&P/Merchandise or related industry)
• Reliable and responsible with good time management
• Desire and ability to take ownership
• Self-confidence, tenacity and resilience
• Extensive experience working in the procurement or purchasing department
