The Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and managing all procurement, tendering, and outsourcing activities within the school. The role ensures that all goods, services, and contracted operations are acquired in a cost-effective, transparent, and timely manner, while upholding high standards of quality, compliance, and governance. This position plays a key role in supporting the school’s academic, administrative, and operational needs through effective supplier and contract management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective procurement policies and procedures aligned with the school’s financial and operational goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and streamline procurement processes.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers to ensure the best value, quality, and service delivery.
  • Maintain an updated list of approved vendors and conduct regular supplier performance evaluations.
  • Review and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with school policies and legal requirements.
  • Establish good relationships with suppliers while upholding integrity, fairness, and transparency.
Operational Procurement
  • Oversee the entire procurement cycle, from purchase requisitions and quotations to purchase orders, delivery, and payment processing.
  • Coordinate with academic and operational departments to understand needs and ensure timely delivery of supplies, materials, and services.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all procurement transactions.
  • Support school events, projects, and capital improvement initiatives by managing related procurement activities.
Inventory Management
  • Work closely with the Facilities teams to monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock management.
  • Implement best practices in inventory control to avoid wastage, over-purchasing, or shortages.
Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal financial controls, school policies, and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Prepare periodic procurement reports, cost analyses, and supplier performance reviews for management.
  • Promote transparency, accountability, and ethical practices in all purchasing operations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the procurement team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture that supports the school’s mission and values.
