Shimadzu Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a procurement coordinator to support day-to-day purchasing activities in Malaysia. You will coordinate with suppliers, prepare and process purchase orders, obtain quotations, and monitor order progress to ensure timely delivery.
The role requires 0-2 years of procurement experience or fresh graduates, with a diploma or bachelor's degree in business administration, procurement, or logistics. Strong communication and basic Microsoft Office skills are essential.
Procurement coordinator will support the day-to-day procurement activities to ensure smooth and timely purchasing operations. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, preparing and processing purchase orders, obtaining and comparing quotations, following up on order and delivery status, maintaining procurement records, and providing administrative support for procurement activities.

Assist in day-to-day procurement and purchasing activities.
Prepare and process purchase orders (po).
Obtain supplier quotations and prepare price comparisons.
Coordinate with suppliers on pricing, availability, lead time, and delivery.
Follow up on order confirmations, goods readiness, and outstanding po.
Verify po details and support invoice verification.
Maintain procurement records and update sap b1.
Coordinate with internal departments on procurement and delivery matters.
Assist with supplier registration and information updates.
Monitor order status and escalates procurement issues when necessary.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
Perform ad-hoc procurement and administrative duties as assigned.
Work closely with sales, service, finance, inventory and other internal departments to support procurement activities.
Maintain confidentiality of procurement information, supplier pricing, and company data.
Comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable procurement standards.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the management based on business needs.
Diploma or bachelor's degree in business administration, procurement, logistics, or a related field.
0-2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or related administrative role.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic negotiation and supplier coordination skills.
Basic knowledge of microsoft office, especially microsoft excel.
Basic knowledge of sap b1 or other erp systems is an advantage.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Willing to learn and adapt to new processes and systems.
